Well, I brought one last roll with me just in case. It is a (slightly expired) roll of TMax 400. I loaded that up in the Coan River Marina parking lot and started shooting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the things I am noticing about TMax 400 is that it doesn’t render the shoreline well. It’s lacking in detail. I’m thinking it may not be getting the proper density. I’m not sure. I have to factor in the age of the film. It expired in December of 2021, and it may not have been stored well. I wouldn’t think that would make too much of a difference given that it’s not that old. It seems that my first batches of TMax 400 came out better and those rolls were actually older. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It may just be a metering problem, and I think that’s more likely the cause. There’s a lot of bright sky in the frame and the camera may be metering for that. Maybe bumping up the exposure a few stops will make these a bit better. Other pictures on this roll turned out really good, so it should be a metering problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There must have been a little bit of rough handling, as shown with the crescent moon mark on the last frame. Overall, what a nice trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
