I switched things up with some Kodak TMax 400 and continued on my drive. In the past, I had experimented with adding sodium acorbate, which is essentially a vitamin C supplement, to the Rodinal to cut down on the grain. This batch did not include the additive. I though the sodium ascorbate was creating spots on the negative (but it actually wasn’t). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another “bouns” frame, caught while the camera is stuck on 1\/1000th of a second while the counter advances to 1. (The camera locks the shutter speed so you don’t have to wait for the shutter when loading film.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of the pictures have enough contrast for clouds. Turning the gamma down reveals the clouds, but also increases graininess. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

we have another example of that here. The grain seems to be much more prominent, but the clouds give the picture more depth and life-like feel.

I may have gone overboard with this one. It’s pretty dark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, this seems to be a really nice roll, albeit a little bit grainy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
