I had quite a bit of problem with this set. Lately, I’ve been having drying issues. Water stains build up on the film after the wetting agent rinse. I think I have since fixed it by altering how I rinse. However that didn’t help me with the negatives I had already processed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had already scanned this batch in and noticed a lot of white spots on some of the frames. As a result, I tried cleaning the negatives as best I could. However, there was another problem: the fixer I used, Ilford’s non-hardening rapid fixer, made it super easy to scratch the film. Luckily I would kept the first set of scans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was one of the last batches I used the Ilford rapid fixer on, as I switched back to the Kodak hardening fixer. It’s a more of a pain than the rapid fixer, but I haven’t really scratched the negative doing stuff like cleaning it. It takes a bit longer to remove the silver halides, and I have to do a 30-minute rinse if I use it (I’m cheap so I didn’t buy hypo-clearing agent). Also, my recent negatives haven’t been coming out too dirty after the champagnes there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
