I decided to do something a bit different. I picked up a roll of Rollei RPX 25 online. This is the lowest ISO speed film I have ever shot, and this film did not disappoint. I had a bright sunny day, so I went to Piney Point and got out to get some shots.

The grain on the film is very fine, which is to be expected for a low ISO film. The details captured on the film was amazing. I had trouble with the scanner, so I had to re-scan the film. On the second scan, I turned off any brightness or density controls and handled all of the processing in Photoshop.

The second half of the film, I went to St. Mary’s River State Park. I edited these a little bit different using Adobe camera raw plugin along with the standard Photoshop tools. I think this yeilded much better result.

The first picture, I moved a bit with a slower shutter speed. I actually like the picture, so instead of a mistake, this turned out to be a happy accident.
